The main event for AEW’s upcoming Wrestle Dream 2024 pay-per-view has been officially set.

During the September 25 AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam special at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, Jon Moxley secured a hard-fought victory over Darby Allin in the main event. However, the night didn’t end there for Moxley.

After the match, AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson launched a surprise attack on Moxley, seeking revenge for the brutal assault he endured at AEW All Out 2024 earlier this month. The chaos was eventually broken up, but Danielson wasn’t done. Grabbing a microphone, he boldly declared war on Moxley, announcing that they would clash for the AEW World Championship at AEW Wrestle Dream 2024.

The highly anticipated bout will take place on October 12 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, promising to be a fierce battle between two of AEW’s top stars.
