WWE NXT is moving to The CW next week and this week’s show was the final episode on the USA Network. As such, behind-the-scenes footage of preparation being made for the press conference has now surfaced.
During the September 24 episode of WWE NXT, the final segment featured a press conference, with appearances from Ethan Page, Ava, Trick Williams, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez.
Ethan Page addressed the pressure of being NXT Champion and praised Trick Williams’ resilience but guaranteed CM Punk wouldn’t impact his title match. NXT GM Ava was shown during a match in a picture-in-picture, keeping the conference ongoing without audio. Oba Femi dismissed Tony D’Angelo’s training, and Fatal Influence refused to reveal their opponents for next week, causing a clash with Lola Vice and Jaida Parker.
Trick Williams spoke about his ambition to become a two-time NXT Champion and acknowledged his disagreements with CM Punk, but vowed to do whatever it takes to win in Chicago.
The final press conference in the ring featured Roxanne Perez and Giulia. Giulia, speaking in Japanese, claimed she would dethrone Perez as Women’s Champion. Perez responded confidently, saying Giulia came to WWE because of her. The segment ended with a surprise message from Stephanie Vaquer as well.
NXT announcer Mike Rome took to Twitter and uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of several referees and ring crew making preparations for the press conference, as Rome showed how hard the ring crew work every single week.
”Behind the scenes at #wwenxt on the last day on @USANetwork ❤️ thanks for the memories! @WWENXT”
