The September 25, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite promises to be an exciting event from start to finish as it is the annual Grand Slam edition of the show and there are tons of matches for fans.
Jeff Jarrett will face “Hangman” Adam Page in a match that continues Page’s interesting story. Page is following a dark path that Jarrett knows well, but he believes he’s justified, and many agree with him.
The Young Bucks will face Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay in a match that showcases the exciting style AEW fans love. Fletcher and Ospreay are skilled performers known for fast-paced matches. With the AEW Tag Team Titles on the line, fans can expect a lot of great action.
Mariah May has been a strong champion since winning the title at AEW All In. She is set to defend it against Yuka Sakazaki, someone that May doesn’t consider a serious threat whatsoever. Therefore, fans can expect to see a major upset when it comes to Sakazaki’s performance.
Saraya began feuding with Jamie Hayter after the latter returned at AEW Al In last month. The two are set to face each other in a ‘Saraya Rules’ match, which is clearly in Saraya’s favor, but fans hope Hayter can pick up the win.
HOOK has been booked well as the FTW Champion since winning it back from Chris Jericho and he is in for a big challenge as he defends his title against the highly talented Roderick Strong. The match is expected to be a solid in-ring affair.
Swerve Strickland has been absent from AEW television since his brutal steel cage match against Adam Page at All Out. Prince Nana will be providing an update on Strickland during Dynamite this week, so fans are excited to see what he will have to say.
Jon Moxley is crucial to AEW and is relied upon during creative changes. After a break, Moxley returns with a new story against Bryan Danielson that began at AEW All Out. To reach that match, he must first defeat Darby Allin, who became the top contender after winning a battle royale. Allin has put his AEW World Title shot on the line against Moxley, so fans wonder who will win in the end.
This match features two of the best technical wrestlers going against each other again. With McGuinness constantly taunting The American Dragon for over a week, fans can expect Danielson to shut him up for good in what will be a technical masterpiece. Of course, it depends on whether Danielson will be cleared for the event.
Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam has several solid matches featuring Jon Moxley, Mariah May, The Young Bucks and many more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss.
