While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Vince McMahon attempted to purchase his own Netflix documentary in order to stop its release. McMahon reportedly realized that the documentary would not align with his expectations, leading him to make efforts to suppress it.
The Netflix deal, which was signed in January, made McMahon try and buy out the project last year. His intent was to shut it down, a tactic often used by wealthy individuals to prevent unfavorable media coverage. McMahon also enlisted Ari Emanuel in this effort, but Netflix refused, and the documentary proceeded as planned.
