ROH has undergone significant changes since its inception. The original founders are no longer in control, as Tony Khan now owns the company. His roster includes both ROH and AEW stars, and there is no indication that the company is shutting down. Shane Taylor recently made a strong statement about ROH’s future.

Shane Taylor was a key figure for Ring of Honor during the final years of the Sinclair era and continues to play an important role under Tony Khan’s ownership. Interestingly enough, Khan had no idea what he was going to do with the company when he bought it.

While ROH remains the sister promotion to AEW and its pay-per-views receive a fair amount of attention, the weekly programming on HonorClub faces some criticism. After all, fans still need to subscribe to that paywall service in order to keep up with the show on a weekly basis.

In response to a social media critic, Shane Taylor recently declared that as long as he’s alive, he will not let the ROH brand die. He even suggested that it might be time for him to take charge of the brand. He had a profane way of making his point, but Taylor has never been one for subtlety.

@ringofhonor will NEVER be dead as long I’m f*cking breathing.

It was at it’s best when there was a General, a Captain to lead…

Maybe it’s just time I take the chair.

Currently, Shane Taylor is mentoring Lee Moriarty and Anthony Ogogo in the Shane Taylor Promotions faction. That is a nice faction that has legs to it and could go awhile. Moriarty, the Ring of Honor Pure Champion, certainly has a lot of potential in the pro wrestling business.

We will keep our eye on this story for more updates, because you never know what may happen in the future. Tony Khan could always shock fans by announcing that ROH is part of an upcoming television deal, although we have heard no indication that is the case yet. Those talks with Warner Brothers Discovery are still ongoing.

What’s your take on Shane Taylor’s statement about ROH? Do you think the company will ever die? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
