The pro wrestling world is full of legends and people who are sadly falling on hard times. We’ve seen more than a few GoFundMe campaigns spring up as wrestlers turn to the public for help. It’s hard to sustain yourself in such an unpredictable business, and Rip Rogers understands that all too well.

A Go Fund Me is now open for Rip Rogers, but it’s not very descriptive. The title of this campaign is, “Health is Failing. Need surgery ASAP!” They are asking for $200,000 in this campaign, and they have raised $4,647 of their goal.

The description for this campaign does not specify what Rip Rogers’ health issues are, but he is apparently in need of that two-hundred grand. In a very brief passage, the GoFundMe’s description merely mentions who Rip Rogers is and it states that he is having health issues.

“Hello all, at least all who know me. Rip Rogers; of course! Been in the wrestling biz for nearly all my life. Five decades plus and going till possibly the day I die. It’s my passion and been a joyful ride for me, as many of you know and have witnessed.”

There have already been over 85 donations, with Deonna Purrazzo putting in $200 herself. Others that top the list include Shauna Finley, who donated $500 and Shiloh Mount, who chipped in $300.

Rip Rogers means a lot to several people in the pro wrestling world. We’re sending out our best to him as he tried to raise money for whatever health issues he’s tackling now. As a trainer and wrestler, he saw the world, but right now he may not be healthy enough to make a living in the way he used to.

We will keep our eye on this story for more updates here at Ringside News. Rip Rogers is a legend in pro wrestling, as many of your favorite stars have gone to him for coaching tips. Now he needs fans’ help, and he’s asking for a lot.
