The pro wrestling world is paying close attention to the upcoming Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries. A lot of things are about to be exposed, and even though it wasn’t a hot topic backstage during the September 23 WWE RAW, plenty of fans are refreshing Netflix in hopes that it drops early.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that those familiar with the Mr. McMahon docuseries don’t anticipate any major revelations to be revealed. After all, fans already know so much about Vince McMahon’s life and career already.

“The Vince McMahon biopic drops on Wednesday, but those we spoke to don’t expect any bombshells.”

It was reported that Vince McMahon’s interviews for the project were filmed before his initial retirement. WWE expects disclaimers to be included, noting that many interviews were conducted before the sexual misconduct allegations surfaced. This is intended to clarify that the positive reviews of McMahon may not account for later controversies. Despite the timing, McMahon reportedly did not address any new controversial topics during those interviews, even before the misconduct allegations came to light.

Sources who have seen the Mr. McMahon docuseries also reportedly noted that several individuals who had grievances within the wrestling industry were interviewed. Those names were not given, but it’s likely fans will be able to spot them when they show up on screen. However, McMahon himself did not provide much detail on the issues and controversial subjects he was asked about.

Vince McMahon attempted to buy back certain footage, though one source noted that the footage “wasn’t even that bad,” especially in light of the allegations against him. He later tweeted out to explain that there are two sides to every story.

The Vince McMahon docuseries will be a six-part event, released simultaneously. It is expected to drop at 3AM on September 25, which is midnight on the West Coast, making it available for Netflix release. In case you’re wondering, Netflix makes it really easy to subscribe.

Ringside News will dive into the new docuseries about Mr. McMahon the moment it is released. There will be tons of stories as well, so keep checking back for everything you’d ever want to know about Vince McMahon.
