There is no shortage of stories about Vince McMahon to go around. Years ago, 15 legends were confirmed to be true about his name, but with the upcoming Netflix docuseries coming soon, the entire WWE locker room is talking. That also includes legends from pro wrestling’s past.

Magnum TA is a very well-known wrestling figure, and he’s seen a lot. The former 2-time NWA United States Heavyweight Champion acknowledges that Vince McMahon’s reputation is far from clean, but he believes McMahon is not the only one in the wrestling industry with a dark past.

Greg Gagne recently spoke about seeing the trailer for Netflix’s new Mr. McMahon docuseries, and both shared their thoughts on McMahon’s controversial history. While McMahon’s scandals are the focus of the series, Magnum T.A. pointed out that many others in the wrestling world have equally troubling backstories.

“If we could go back in time and capture all the things that happened behind the scenes in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, a lot of people wouldn’t be seen the same way. He made a lot of enemies along the way, male and female, and when all the news that was quietly hidden comes out, it’s horrendous. You could line up 100 guys and paint a terrible picture if you captured everything that happened outside the ring.”

Magnum TA also suggested that Vince McMahon’s fame has made him a symbol for the sins of an entire generation of wrestlers. Many of those wrongdoers got away with serious offenses. He stated, “I almost feel like inadvertently he’s bearing the sins of an entire decadent generation, and it’s all being aired out. I can probably name 20 people off the top of my head who could make him look like a choir boy.”

On Monday evening, Vince McMahon released a statement minimizing the fairness of the docuseries. He also attempted to purchase the series from Netflix so nobody could see it, but that didn’t happen.

In response to Vince McMahon’s statement, Janel Grant’s attorney, Anna Callis, issued a statement as well. Grant and her legal team were not interviewed for the Netflix docuseries, and Callis refused to comment on whether an invitation was sent. We will have to see how her story is told in the docuseries.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries, and how do you think it will impact the way fans view both McMahon and the wrestling industry’s past? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
