Ethan Page Reveals Real Reason He Left AEW for WWE

Ethan Page was removed from the AEW roster page earlier this year, sparking discussions among fans regarding his status with the company. Ultimately, he left AEW and quickly made his debut in WWE. Page has since shared the reasons behind his departure from AEW.

On the May 28, 2024, edition of WWE NXT, Page surprised fans by joining the company. In just four months, he has established himself as one of NXT’s top stars and is now the NXT Champion, a feat that many fans previously thought was unlikely.

While speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Ethan Page talked about his AEW departure. Ethan Page reflected on his departure from AEW, stating that it was simply “time” for a change. He expressed that he wasn’t receiving the same opportunities he found in his new situation, emphasizing his desire to showcase what he can contribute.

 “It was time. Yeah, it was time. And I wasn’t getting what I magically got here, which was the opportunity to show what I bring to the table.”

Ethan Page is now set to defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams on the debut episode of NXT on the CW Network next week, so we’ll have to see how he will perform in the bout. In the meantime, Page will always be glad about betting on himself and that’s what ultimately matters to him in the end.
