Netflix is gearing up to release a documentary series about former WWE owner Vince McMahon on September 25th, featuring six one-hour episodes. Ahead of its premiere, McMahon took to Twitter/X to share his thoughts, urging viewers to keep an open mind as the series unfolds.

AEW’s Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett recently shared his perspective on McMahon’s statement during his podcast, noting the intriguing timing of the documentary’s release.

“That last line, ‘I hope the viewer will keep an open mind and remember that there are two sides to every story,’ well, I’m going to kind of contradict that statement. I think there are always three sides,” Jarrett remarked.

He expressed curiosity about the decision to drop the series on a Wednesday, questioning whether Netflix typically releases new content on that day. “The timing is very, very interesting,” he said.

Jarrett further elaborated on McMahon’s history, emphasizing that he’s always been one to control the narrative.

“He understands better than anybody that Netflix’s number one goal is to get as many streams as possible. Meanwhile, WWE’s goal right now is likely to manage how they present their story,” he explained.

The wrestling veteran concluded by reiterating the complexity of the situation, stating, “There’s Vince’s version, Netflix’s version, and somewhere out there, there’s the truth, maybe even lost in it all. Vince is clearly getting out in front of this. He’s punching back, and this is certainly not the first, nor will it be the last time.”

As anticipation builds for the documentary, fans are left wondering how it will portray McMahon’s legacy amidst the ongoing controversies surrounding him.
