Andrade El Idolo made his return to WWE during this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, the former United States Champion would make his way from RAW to SmackDown and had been feuding with Carmelo Hayes for a while. Andrade is a feature on WWE television and now some want him to be booked like Kurt Angle.

Andrade recently stepped up to challenge LA Knight for the United States Championship on the September 20 episode of SmackDown. Despite not winning the title, his performance left a strong impression on fans and showcased his skill in the ring.

On the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry expressed strong support for Andrade, saying the Mexican star has the potential to become one of WWE’s top talents. Henry praised Andrade as a “super wrestler” and described him as being “beyond elite.”

“Andrade, I respect you, gangster. I saw who you are. He’s beyond elite. He is a super wrestler. I told Denise that he’s one of those guys that sometimes you scrap everything and you say, ‘You know what? Imma just give it a year. Imma give it one year, Imma see if he can be Eddie Guerrero. Imma give it one year, Imma see if he can be Kurt Angle.’ Because I think that Andrade can be.”

Henry also compared Andrade to legendary stars like Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle, pointing out how WWE took chances on those wrestlers and helped them become icons. He urged WWE’s creative team to give Andrade a similar opportunity and booking, believing that with time and investment, Andrade could rise to the same legendary status.

“I think Andrade is one of those guys. Give him a shot. If somebody ever gets hurt, and they’re in the spot where they’re like ‘Da*n, we’re scrambling. We need something,’ boom, plug him in. He deserves it, he paid his dues, and he is good. He’s so good that he makes average wrestlers look good. What is he gonna do against great wrestlers?”

We will have to wait and see whether WWE will end up giving Andrade similar booking to Kurt Angle as Andrade has clearly proven he is more than ready to take it to the next level.
