“Hot Ones,” the wildly popular interview series where celebrities brave a lineup of increasingly spicy chicken wings while answering probing questions, has featured an impressive list of stars over the years.

Sean Evans, the show’s host, has interviewed everyone from Conan O’Brien to Jennifer Lawrence, Paul Rudd, and Gordon Ramsay—but one major name has always eluded him: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Evans shared that they’ve been trying to get The Rock on the show for quite some time, but it hasn’t panned out. Evans revealed the closest they came was when they received an unusual request regarding The Rock’s diet.

“We’ve been pitching [The Rock] obviously for years and one time I got a note back that was like, ‘would you be willing to do, instead of wings, grilled salmon strips?’” Evans recalled, adding, “In my head, I was like, that had to come from his mouth … that’s as close as we’ve gotten. And then it fell through.”

Given The Rock’s strict diet and fitness regimen, it’s no surprise that traditional wings might not fit into his meal plan. Would wings count as a cheat meal for him? Perhaps Evans could tempt him with something like In-N-Out Burger, which The Rock has yet to try.

Fans will have to wait and see if The Rock eventually makes his way to the Hot Ones table, grilled salmon strips or not.
