Pro wrestling has a tendency to run in the blood of families, and things are no different for the Danielson Family. Brie Garcia and Bryan Danielson have two children, and it seems that their son is destined to find his future in the squared circle.
Bryan Danielson captured the AEW World Championship at AEW All In 2024, defeating Swerve Strickland in an intense main event. Brie Garcia sat front row alongside their two children, Buddy and Birdie. After the match, the family joined Danielson in the ring for a heartfelt celebration.
On a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie shared a glimpse into Buddy’s potential future in the wrestling world.
“When we went backstage, Buddy was completely in his zone. His energy was through the roof. He was running away from me, trying to wrestle everyone, climbing on the guys, and holding their hands like he was already part of the team. He was so amped, I could definitely see him becoming a wrestler.”
The former Brie Bella went on to say that Bryan Danielson pretended to powerbomb Buddy, but quickly stopped when he caught his wife’s eye. He obviously wants to have that bonding time with his son, but he doesn’t want to take things too far with powerful wrestling moves just yet.
Danielson hasn’t been seen on AEW television since AEW All Out 2024, where he was suffocated with a plastic bag by Jon Moxley. He is set for a match against Nigel McGuinness at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam in Arthur Ashe Stadium. At this time, it remains to be seen if that match will happen, because Danielson is still awaiting medical clearance.
AEW Grand Slam will go down at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday, September 25. Tickets are still available for the Dynamite and Collision double taping, and they can be purchased at TicketMaster.
