Saturday Night’s Main Event is making a huge comeback this year. The event will be taking place on December 14 at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock and now the event is off to a strong start with ticket sales.

This venue is historically significant as it hosted the very first “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in 1985, a series that aired on NBC from 1985 to 1991, replacing Saturday Night Live during that time.

After a hiatus, WWE revived the special in 1992 on FOX, but it disappeared again until making a comeback in prime time in March 2006 on NBCU for Raw on the USA Network, lasting until August 2008.

Tickets for the event went on sale to the public on Friday, with 7,254 tickets already sold and 824 remaining, according to WrestleTix. WWE plans to use its standard stage setup, but there’s a chance more seating could be made available with a different configuration. The last event at this venue in September 2023 attracted an audience of 7,832 fans for a Saturday Night’s Main Event-themed house show.
