Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix has been key figures in AEW since the company’s launch in 2019. Recently, rumors surfaced that both Penta and Fenix had signed multi-year deals with WWE, creating a buzz among fans. However, that’s not the case as of now. The duo remains in contact with AEW and are available to wrestle when needed, despite their recent absence from the promotion.

Last month, rumors emerged about Penta’s ongoing talks with WWE, suggesting that he and Fenix would only join the company together. WWE was reportedly very interested in bringing them in, particularly in Fenix. Cory Hayes from PWN even reported that WWE had signed The Lucha Brothers, preparing for a direct debut on the main roster.

According to PWInsider, while rumors have been circulating about The Lucha Brothers signing with WWE, there has been interest in them only if they are “free and clear” of their AEW contracts. Despite their recent absence from AEW, it is reported that the team remains in contact with the promotion and are available to wrestle if needed.

We have also reported that Rey Fenix remains under contract with AEW at the moment. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether The Lucha Brothers will end up doing to WWE when all is said and done, as it appears their time with AEW is coming to an end.
