Artem Chigvintsev, known for his role on “Dancing With The Stars” and his marriage to former WWE star Nikki Bella, recently made news after his arrest for domestic battery. Since then, a lot of things happened, and it appears Nikki Bella is upset after Chigvintsev filed for joint custody of their son.
As previously reported, Nikki Bella filed for divorce from Artem and she is seeking full custody of their son. In response to her divorce petition, Artem has officially filed for joint custody of his son, Matteo. In addition to joint custody, Chigvintsev is seeking spousal support and asking that Nikki Bella cover his legal fees and court costs.
According to Life&Style, Nikki Bella was taken aback by Chigvintsev’s response, as he sought joint custody of Matteo and requested spousal support, which has left her feeling furious. Sources indicate that Bella is in disbelief over his demands, questioning who she married and being shocked by his actions.
“Nikki is absolutely furious that Artem is asking for spousal support. She’s still in shock and has been asking herself, ‘Who the hell did I marry?. She’s dumbfounded by Artem’s audacity and lack of shame.”
Despite the challenges, Bella is determined to fight back. She remains hopeful that the justice system will see through what she perceives as a cash grab by Chigvintsev. She believes that even his return to “Dancing with the Stars” wouldn’t have stopped him from pursuing spousal support.
“She hopes a judge, if it actually comes to that, sees right through his disgusting and exploitative cash grab.
Even if he wasn’t asked back to be on Dancing With the Stars, she thinks he would still have asked her for spousal support,” the source adds. “After what he’s done to Nikki, it’s a slap in the face and a total loser move on his part.”
