AEW stars are known to pull off public stunts to get attention for Tony Khan’s company, and this is no different. We’ve seen them brawl at comic conventions and other Q&A panels. Now they’re taking the action to City Hall.

A recent skirmish at Springfield, MA City Hall has come to light thanks to new video evidence shared by Smart Mark Sterling. Sterling took to Twitter to provide an update on the incident, posting footage from WWLP22 News that captured the chaotic moment.

“BREAKING: Thanks to @WWLP22News, I now have footage of the attack yesterday at City Hall,” Sterling tweeted. “Here, I was graciously accepting the key to the city given to me by Mayor Sarno when a jealous and bitter @DarbyAllin stepped in and assaulted me. More to come on this developing story.”

The footage reveals an intense altercation at the podium during the key-to-the-city ceremony, with Darby Allin interrupting the event in dramatic fashion. Of course, this took a turn, because that’s AEW’s modus operandi.

Known for his fearless approach both inside and outside the ring, Allin wasted no time in confronting Sterling, creating a tense showdown right in front of the cameras. While Darby Allin has been a cornerstone of AEW since its inception, his actions here suggest that tensions with Sterling have boiled over.

Mark Sterling was clearly unimpressed with the attack, and he hinted at potential legal repercussions, indicating that this situation may not be over. We will be watching closely to see if Sterling will take the matter to court in what could be the next chapter of their heated rivalry.
