It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! AEW Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the September 21, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Results (9/21/2024):

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us. We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a ROH World Tag Team Championship Bunkhouse Brawl.

ROH World Tag Team Championship Bunkhouse Brawl: “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes and “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett)

The match starts off with Rhodes and Guevara going right after Taven and Bennett. Rhodes then takes out Bennett and Taven in the ring. Rhodes then puts a belt buckle on the head of Bennett. Guevara then comes off the barricade with a big moonsault on Taven on the floor. Bennett then sends Dustin into the turnbuckle. Taven then picks up Sammy, but he counters and grabs a kendo stick, taking out Taven and Bennet. Guevara then leaps through the ropes, only to met by a chair to the head. Taven then goes in the ring and flies over the ropes, taking out Guevara and Bennett. Taven then grabs a taser and uses it on Sammy. Dustin then comes down and bulldogs Taven into a table of barbwire on the side of the entrance stage area. Sammy then bulldogs Bennett into a table from the ring apron.

Taven then pushes Sammy as he is climbing the ladder, causing Sammy to crash into the table at ringside. The Kingdom then takes out Dustin in the ring. They then slap him with the belt and all three men are covered in blood. Dustin then fights back and takes out Taven and Bennett. Taven then fires back, dropping Dustin with a big spine buster. Dustin then recovers and grabs a bullrope from under the ring, nailing Bennett and Taven with the cowbell. Dustin then sets up a chair and calls for a crossroads, but Taven stops it. Rhodes then comes back and powerslams Taven on the chair. Dustin then picks up Taven and suplexes him on the chair. Dustin then covers Taven, but Bennett breaks it up with a running drop kick on Dustin. Dustin then runs at Bennett, but he catches him and drops him with a death valley driver on the chair. Bennett then covers Dustin, but Sammy is in the ring and breaks up the three count. Sammy then gets Taven up and drops as he rolls out of the ring. Dustin then wraps barbed wire around his right boot. Sammy then holds Bennett in the corner as he kicks Bennett between the legs. Dustin then drops Bennett with a kendo stick. Sammy then sets up the ladder and is on the top, coming down with a huge moonsault. Sammy then covers Bennett for the win.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair was about to interview Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly and Hologram, but she was interrupted by Mark Sterling, Josh Woods, Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese. Sterling talks about the mayor naming it AEW Day, then says Briscoe will not hit him in the balls again. After Briscoe cuts an over the top promo, Rocky Romero shows up and indicates that he will be with the babyfaces to counter Sterling.

We then get a video vignette for Dynamite in Pittsburg with a date of 10|2|24, changing it to D|M|D. Schiavone and McGuinness spoke from their desk on the stage and announced that Britt Baker will be in action at the Dynamite 5 show. Schiavone also hypes Queen Aminata vs. Serena Deeb for later in the show.

We then head to the back, where Dark Order (Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds) is being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Nair notes that Uno will face Darby Allin ahead of Allin’s match with Jon Moxley. Uno then acts annoyed that Nair was looking past his match with Allin. Darby Allin then shows up and tells Uno that there’s a war coming. Allin then says Uno can lay down and die. Allin then tells Uno to play his video games and film his little skits, but not him. Allin then says he will show everyone the difference between him and Uno. Allin then says he’s not lying down and dying, he’s going to lead AEW into the future as the next world champion. Allin then tells Uno to remind him what he’s capable of. Allin then tells Uno to remind him that he still has that dog in him. Allin then says Uno’s been collecting a paycheck and coasting and has been on cruise control for too long. Allin then tells Uno to show him what he can do. Uno then goes head-to-head with Allin and nudges him with his head while Allin says it’s not a joke anymore.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: The Conglomeration (ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly) and Hologram vs. The Premiere Athletes (Tony Nese, Josh Woods and Ariya Daivari)

The match starts off with Kyle and Woods shoving each other. Kyle then gets Woods in a heal lock. Woods then nails Kyle and tags in Tony Nese. Nese then drops Kyle, but Kyle fires back and tags in Hologram. O’Reilly and Hologram then double team Daivari. Hologram then kicks Nese in the head, then walks the ropes and hits Nese with a big shotgun drop kick. Hologram then covers Nese, but Nese kicks out at two. Kyle O’Reilly is then tagged in. The referee then gets distracted as the Premiere Athletes triple team O’Reilly on the floor. O’Reilly then tries to make a tag, but Daivari stops it. Hologram is then tagged in. Hologram takes down Nese. Hologram then covers Nese, but Nese kicks out at two. Hologram then runs the ropes, but is dropped with a knee to the back by Daivari. Mark Briscoe is then tagged in as he takes out Josh Woods, Daivari and Nese. Briscoe then runs into an elbow by Woods, but it has no effect on Briscoe. Briscoe then climbs the ropes, but Mark Sterling distracts him. Mark Sterling then pulls Briscoe off the ropes as Rocky Romero jaws at him. Hologram then runs through the ropes, taking out Sterling. Briscoe then hits Daivari with a big death valley driver for the win.

Tony Schiavone then hypes AEW Grand Slam and once again states that Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness will take place if Danielson is cleared to wrestle.

We then head to the back, where MxM Collection (Mason Madden and Mansoor) recalls saying they will give Max Caster’s jacket an extreme makeover. Madden and Mansoor then say they will reveal the jacket as the finale for fashion week in New York at the Grand Slam event.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May vs. Lady Frost

The match starts off with May turning her back and blowing a kiss to Nigel at the announce table. Frost then rolls up May, but May kicks out. May then grabs Frost and spins her around, dropping her on the mat. May then blows Nigel kisses again and then slaps Frost, who is on the second rope. May then drops Frost and charges at Frost, but is met with a big kick to the face. Frost then dropkicks May, sending her down. Frost then comes off the ropes with a twisting tornado drop on May. Frost then hits May with elbows to the face, then kicks and follows it up with a big slap. May then fires back and drops Frost on her head. May then kicks Frost and hits her with a storm zero for the win.

Tony Schiavone then announces Chris Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly in a Tornado Trios Match for next week’s AEW Collision, which will be taped on Wednesday.

We then get a video package on Mariah May vs. Yuka Sakazaki.

We then head to the back, where Willow Nightingale is being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Willow talks about Yuka Sakazaki going for the AEW Women’s World Title. Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie then shows up. Purrazzo says if Willow was Sakazaki’s friend, she would have been there for her on Wednesday and would be in her corner at Grand Slam. Purrazzo then speaks about how she could offer Sakazaki protection. Valkyrie then steps forward and gets in Willow’s face after Willow interrupts Purrazzo. Willow then challenges Valkyrie to face her in a match on Friday’s AEW Rampage, which is being taped tonight.

A graphic then lists Darby Allin vs. Evil Uno as coming up next.

We then see The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) in the backstage area with “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn. Caster raps about MxM Collection stealing his jacket and Bowens says everyone loves The Acclaimed.

We then get a video package recapping the Jon Moxley and Darby Allin feud as well as Wheeler Yuta’s issues with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and “The Bastard” PAC.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Darby Allin vs. Dark Order’s Evil Uno

The match starts off with Uno slapping Allin. Allin then sends Uno to the floor and takes out both Uno and Reynolds. Allin then tries to take off the mask off of Uno. Reynolds then drops Allin as Uno goes back in the ring and distracts the referee. Uno then goes to the floor and sends Allin into the steel steps and then sends him into the barricade. Allin then makes it back in the ring as Uno kicks Allin in the head. Uno then covers Allin, but Allin kicks out at two. Allin then puts Uno in a headlock as Uno crawls to the ropes to break the hold. Allin then punches Uno and bites him, but Uno comes back with a big buckle bomb on Allin. Uno then covers Allin, but Allin kicks out at two. Allin is up and rakes the eyes of Uno and then runs the ropes and takes out Reynolds on the floor. Allin then grabs a belt, taking out Reynolds and Uno on the floor. Allin then goes to the top rope and hits a big coffin drop on Uno and Reynolds on the floor. Uno is back in the ring and Allin climbs to the top rope and hits a big coffin drop on Uno for the win.

We then get a recap of “Hangman” Adam Page’s actions from this past Wednesday’s Dynamite. We then get a backstage segment from after Dynamite, where Renee Paquette is speaking with Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett challenges Hangman Page to a Lumberjack Strap Match on Dynamite Grand Slam.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Queen Aminata vs. “The Professor” Serena Deeb

The match starts off with both women locking up as Aminata takes Deeb down to the mat. The hold is broken and both women lock up again. Deeb then takes down the Queen and we get some classic mat wrestling. We then get a test of strength as the Queen takes down Deeb with a wrist lock. Both women then run the ropes and attempt to take each other down. Deeb then drops Queen and hooks the legs applying a surfboard, but the hold is broken. The Queen then sends Deeb to the mat and covers her for only a two count. Deeb is on the apron and drops Aminata on the second rope. Deeb then hits Aminata with a big uppercut. Aminata then tries to fight back, but Deeb kicks her. Deeb then sends Aminata to the ropes and drops her to the mat with a big elbow. Deeb then puts Aminata in a headlock as the referee checks on the Queen. Aminata then fights out of the hold, but Deeb fires back with a big lariat, sending Aminata to the mat. Deeb then grabs the legs of Aminata, applying a Boston crab like hold. Deeb then breaks the hold and hits Aminata with a running drop kick. Deeb then locks up Aminata as the referee checks on her to see if she wants to submit. Aminata then tries to fight out of the hold.

Aminata then breaks out of the hold, sending Deeb head first to the mat. Deeb is holding the side of her neck and she is trying to get up. Aminata is up and hits Deeb with a snap suplex. Aminata then covers Deeb for only a two count. The Queen then rolls up Deeb, but Deeb kicks out at two. Aminata then hits Deeb with a German suplex and then follows it up with a big running kick to the face of Deeb. Aminata then covers Deeb, but Deeb kicks out at two. Deeb then hits Aminata from behind and covers her, but Aminata kicks out at two. Both women then roll each other up for near falls. The Queen then hits the ropes as Deeb drops her with a leg drop. The Queen then headbutts Deeb, sending her to the floor. Aminata then goes to the floor and sends Deeb back in the ring. Deeb then leg sweeps Aminata and hits her with the detox for the win.

We then get highlights from Rampage of Saraya challenging Jamie Hayter to a Saraya’s Rules Match at Grand Slam.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is interviewing The Outcasts (Saraya and Harley Cameron). Saraya claims the Saraya’s Rules Match has been in her family for generations and it is known throughout England. Cameron then lists the rules as being heavily slanted in Saraya’s favor and says the winner will get an autographed copy of Saraya’s autobiography, which is available for pre-sale.

We then see Lexy Nair talking to ROH World Tag Team Champions Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes. Dustin thanks Sammy, saying he is great partner. Sammy then thanks Dustin and says it is an honor to team with him. Sammy then calls Rhodes, Dustin two belts. Sammy then challenges Okada to an Eliminator Match on Grand Slam and says when he wins, he will challenge Okada for the International Title at Dynamite 5. Dustin then tells Sammy that he has more heart and soul than half the roster and he believes in him.

We then get the entrances of the main event of the night, which is an All Star 10-Man Tag Team Match.

All Star 10-Man Tag Team Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood), The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) and FTW Champion “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” HOOK vs. The Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong, The Beast Mortos, “El Toro Blanco” RUSH and Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson)

The match starts off with James Drake and Cash Wheeler. Both men run the ropes and Cash rolls Drake for only a two count. Cash then takes Drake down with a hip toss. All ten men then enter the ring and a brawl ensues. The heels then retreat to the floor.
