WWE is growing at a solid rate, especially with NXT’s move to the CW Network later this year. The show will kick off this new chapter by filming its first two episodes on the road and it appears WWE may film another episode of NXT on the road.
Shawn Michaels announced that WWE NXT will celebrate its new partnership with the CW Network by hitting the road. The debut event is set to take place on October 1st at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Afterwards, NXT will travel to St. Louis for the show on October 8th. CM Punk is expected to be part of the NXT launch event in Chicago, while Randy Orton will be featured in St. Louis.
Fightful Select has reported that NXT may be leaving the WWE Performance Center for another date. Corey Brennan of Fightful Select has learned that the NXT taping originally scheduled for November 5th at the Performance Center has been canceled, which may mean that another episode of NXT could be filmed on the road.
According to NXT sources, the cancellation could be due to several factors, including the possibility of doing a double taping the week before. This might be related to WWE’s scheduled trip to Saudi Arabia, which is set for the weekend before the November 5th taping.
WWE also has an ambitious viewership goal for NXT’s debut on the CW Network and there are a lot of plans to ensure that the NXT’s move to the CW Network will become a success, so it remains to be seen what the company has planned for the November 5th taping in the end.
