Roman Reigns is one of the biggest names in wrestling, but before that, he played football. WWE is now using his connection to Georgia by filming him with Cody Rhodes, and Roman just shared a preview of the video ahead of this week’s Friday Night SmackDown.
On the September 13th episode of SmackDown, Reigns returned in epic fashion to confront The Bloodline after Cody Rhodes won a cage match. This led to a tag team match being set for WWE’s Bad Blood event, where Reigns and Rhodes will face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
As reported earlier, WWE recently filmed footage at Georgia Tech with Reigns and Rhodes to celebrate their ties to Atlanta. Cody Rhodes is from Atlanta, and Reigns played football for Georgia Tech.
Reigns took to his Twitter, sharing the first look of the footage set to air during the September 20th SmackDown episode. The image shows Reigns and Rhodes standing face-to-face and it was clear WWE has big things planned for tonight.
Fans will have to wait for SmackDown to see how the footage unfolds and how WWE will continue building the dynamic between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as we approach the Bad Blood Premium Live Event.
