The September 20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown was a night of one of the most memorable face-offs, exciting matches and moments as the road to WWE Bad Blood continues and sets the tone for next week’s edition of the blue brand.

A long ongoing rivalry will write its sixth chapter

The night in Sacramento, California, opened with a high-profile title match with LA Knight defending his WWE United States title against Andrade El Idolo, following his triumph over Carmelo Hayes in their series of matches.

However, Andrade did not have the same result as last week, as LA Knight defeated him in the opening contest to retain his championship. Later on, Carmelo Hayes mocked Andrade in the backstage area with a brawl breaking out between them. As the night was coming to an end, it was announced that Andrade El Idolo vs Carmelo Hayes Part VI will take place next week on SmackDown.

Who will get a Women’s title match at WWE Bad Blood?

On the other hand, things ended without a decisive conclusion in a high-stakes tornado tag team match between Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton and Bayley & Naomi. The bout ended with Bayley and Naomi scoring a double pinfall over Jax, and as per the match stipulation, both had a legitimate claim to a WWE Women’s title match at Bad Blood.

However, GM Nick Aldis proposed a solution by scheduling a one-on-one match between Naomi and Bayley, with the winner earning a title match against Nia Jax at WWE Bad Blood.
