Following the release of The Killer’s Game, Dave Bautista has lined up his next big-screen project. The former WWE superstar will star in The Lost Lands, a film adaptation based on a short story by Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin.
According to Deadline, the movie will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, best known for his work on the Resident Evil films. Milla Jovovich and Arly Jover will also star in the fantasy-adventure movie, which promises plenty of action and supernatural intrigue.
The storyline of The Lost Lands centers on a queen who is willing to risk everything for the love she desires. In her pursuit of this love, she enlists the help of a feared sorceress, Gray Alys, played by Jovovich. Gray Alys is sent on a dangerous mission to the mysterious wilderness known as the Lost Lands, where she seeks a magical power that could fulfill the queen’s wishes. Bautista takes on the role of Boyce, a drifter who serves as Gray Alys’ guide on the perilous journey. Together, the two must face not only human threats but also demonic forces as they navigate the treacherous landscape.
The film brings together an impressive production team. Anderson, along with Jeremy Bolt, Jovovich, Bautista, and several others, will produce the movie. The list of executive producers includes notable names like Martin Moszkowicz, Nico Bruinsma, and Kirk D’Amico.
With a story penned by George R.R. Martin and a stellar cast, The Lost Lands is shaping up to be an epic adventure that will captivate both fantasy fans and action movie enthusiasts alike.
