WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley is no stranger to the spotlight, often commanding attention both in the ring and on social media. Alongside her husband, Buddy Matthews, the power couple is seen as fitness goals by many fans. But recently, Matthews shared a more personal side of their lives, revealing that they too struggle with body insecurities, just like anyone else.

During an Instagram Live session, Buddy Matthews opened up about the body image issues both he and Ripley face, despite their impressive physiques. He admitted that even though they might look confident and strong on TV, they deal with the same self-doubt and body insecurities as everyone else.

“I also don’t like the way I look in the mirror on particular days. It’s something we all go through.”

Matthews’ candid admission shows that even those who appear to be in peak physical condition aren’t immune to insecurities. He explained that people often assume athletes or public figures like him and Ripley have it all together, but the reality is much different.

I know the people watching this go through these things, whether they feel fat, small, skinny, strong, not strong. There are so many ways to feel on a day. Just because your heroes or you see people on TV, or you might look at Rhea or myself and go, ‘Hey, your physique is awesome. If I look half as good as you, I would be happy.’ We say that too, but we don’t see it. It’s such a mind****. Everyone has got it,” said Buddy.

Earlier this year, Ripley and Matthews tied the knot, and throughout their relationship, they’ve been open about supporting one another. Despite their body image battles, their bond remains strong, and they continue to lift each other up, proving that love and support are what truly matter.
