Vince McMahon’s upcoming Netflix docuseries, “Mr. McMahon,” is set to expand on McMahon’s life in ways fans may have not known before. With its release on September 25, WWE’s backstage reaction to the docuseries has now been revealed.
This six-part docuseries has been years in the making, with its release clouded by controversy surrounding McMahon, including sexual trafficking allegations and numerous other infamous topics that fans have good knowledge about.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that when he was interviewed for the upcoming Vince McMahon docuseries, all the key topics surrounding McMahon’s story were thoroughly explored. According to Meltzer, the director left no important subject untouched during their conversation.
However, Meltzer also mentioned that some within WWE are not pleased with the documentary. While he’s unsure how balanced the portrayal of McMahon will be, he acknowledged the dissatisfaction among certain WWE personnel regarding the final product.
“I can only say that the director who did it, covered with me, every single thing that I would expect someone to cover. There were no stones unturned. What the final product is, I know there are people in WWE who are not happy with it — I don’t know how fair it is to Vince, but there were people there unhappy.”
We have also reported on the key topics that will be covered in the documentary series and many talent are also divided when it comes to the upcoming Netflix series.
