Vince McMahon was sued by Janel Grant, aiming to blow the lid off the $3 million hush money scandal that previously made headlines. The upcoming Netflix docuseries about McMahon is expected to reveal many details, but Janel Grant will not be a part of it.

Janel Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis, held a press conference on September 19, just one week before the Mr. McMahon docuseries is set to drop on Netflix. During the conference, it was confirmed that Grant will not appear in the docuseries, a fact that had already been reported.

Ann Callis declined to comment on whether Grant had been invited to participate in the McMahon documentary. She emphasized that Grant has the right to tell her story on her own terms, and in her own time.

When asked whether Netflix had approached her client for the documentary, Ann Callis responded that Janel “deserves the right to tell her own story.” Callis also revealed that Grant had received some initial, brief contact from WWE after the lawsuit was filed, but there has been no further communication since.

“We have not seen the documentary. Janel deserves the opportunity to tell her full story, not be a part of someone else’s. She will get her day in court, and McMahon will be held accountable,” Callis said. “And Janel has the right to tell her story in her own way at the right time.”

“Janel’s story is an important one, and we hope Neftlix’s docuseries does it justice,” Callis said. “Her experience is integral to an accurate and whole retelling of the story of the WWE and Mr. McMahon.”

Janel Grant has remained largely silent since the story came to light. Only one known photo of her exists, and fans are eager for more details on the disturbing events that allegedly took place behind the closed doors of a company that brings joy to millions worldwide. It’s clear that what she endured was horrific, and she will share her story when the time is right.

We’ll continue to monitor this story closely for any new developments. September 25 is shaping up to be a busy day for pro wrestling news, with many fans expected to flock to Netflix to binge-watch the entire docuseries in search of fresh insights into Vince McMahon’s controversial history.
