During the September 17 episode of WWE NXT, CM Punk made a surprise appearance, getting involved in the NXT Women’s Title match scenario, which electrified the crowd and later at the end of the show as well. However, that was not the end of the night for him in the Capitol Wrestling Center that night.

According to a new update by Fightful Select, CM Punk stayed back after the NXT show ended and spent a good thirty minutes engaging with the live audience in attendance for the show in Orlando, Florida.

CM Punk went the extra mile for fans by sticking around the WWE Performance Center for two full loops, taking countless photos with those in attendance. One fan took to Reddit to praise Punk for going above and beyond for the fans.

In addition to his extra mile shenanigans, it was confirmed that CM Punk would be the special guest referee for the NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams. This highly anticipated match will take place during the debut of NXT on the CW Network in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, making the occasion even more special for fans.

With the NXT Title match approaching in a few weeks, fans are eagerly awaiting how CM Punk’s presence as a guest referee will impact the outcome.
