Jerry Lawler’s Current Condition Amidst Health Issues

Jerry “The King” Lawler’s illustrious career in WWE has cemented his status as a wrestling icon, synonymous with the company for decades. He has been dealing with health issues for a long time and now his current health condition has been revealed.

While Lawler remains under a Legends deal with WWE, recent reports shed light on his health challenges. Following a stroke scare last year, compounded by paralysis preceding the stroke, Lawler has been on a path to recovery, including double knee surgery. However, his health issues persisted, with mobility challenges and speech impairments impacting his daily life, and fans wondered if he would ever be able to speak properly again.

While speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, Harvey Wippleman provided an update on Jerry Lawler’s health status. He mentioned that they had a long conversation recently, filled with laughter and old stories.

While Lawler spoke a bit slower, it wasn’t anything too concerning. Wippleman noted that if he hadn’t known about Lawler’s health issues, he would have thought Lawler just had a cold, as he didn’t sound bad at all.

“In all honesty, I talked to him last night. We talked for a while. We laughed, we cut up, we talked about old funny stories and everything, and it was just almost like it always was. He was maybe talking a little bit slower, but nothing alarming, you know? Like if I was unaware of his medical issues, I would have thought maybe he just had a cold or something. He didn’t sound bad at all. We had a really nice conversation. We always laugh and cut up and carry on, so it was great. It was very nice.” 

It is certainly good to know that Jerry Lawler is doing better these days. Jim Ross also believes he and Jerry Lawler will reunite somewhere down the road, so we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the WWE Hall of Famer.
