During the September 16 episode of WWE Raw , Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defended their World Tag Team Championship against The New Day in their first title defense since winning the belts on June 24. Their successful defense marked a strong start to their reign as champions. Balor has now addressed backlash after the same.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh have been the WWE Tag Team Champions for over two months now. However, in recent weeks, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh faced criticism for not defending their World Tag Team titles more frequently.

After their victory over Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on RAW, Balor responded with a sarcastic tweet on Twitter, addressing the backlash. Finn Balor made it clear he couldn’t care less what fans had to say.

“It’s be ONE day since me and @jd_mcdonagh defended our World Tag Team Championships.”

Meanwhile, Xavier Woods hinted at a possible split within The New Day following their loss to The Judgment Day. We’ll have to wait and how long Balor and McDonagh will remain the champions in the end.
