Since taking over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H has garnered widespread praise for transforming the company’s creative direction. Many fans and industry personalities believe that today’s WWE product is experiencing one of its best creative periods in years. Among those who’ve spoken highly of this new era is former WWE superstar Dave Bautista.

During a recent episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Bautista discussed how Triple H has changed the company for the better, specifically noting his willingness to let WWE talent pursue opportunities outside of the promotion. Bautista referenced Drew McIntyre’s role in The Killer’s Game as an example of this open-minded approach.

“Things have changed a lot. I think Hunter has changed the company in a lot of great ways, but he’s very open-minded to letting people do stuff outside of the company because he really understands that the bigger star they become, the more attention it’ll bring back to WWE, which is a great thing,” Bautista said.

He contrasted this with the company’s past leadership, stating, “I think in the past, it was just kind of the opposite. Wanted to keep everything contained, everything in-house, which is why I ended up leaving the company because I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to do stuff outside of the company.”

Bautista’s comments echo the sentiments of other WWE stars who have applauded the cultural shift under Triple H’s leadership, emphasizing the balance between expanding WWE’s reach and supporting individual talents in their ventures.

How do you think WWE’s openness to allowing talent to pursue outside opportunities under Triple H’s leadership will impact the company’s future, both creatively and in terms of star power? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
