AEW Star Buddy Matthews Addresses Potential Match with Dominik Mysterio

Buddy Matthews has been a top fixture for All Elite Wrestling for a long time. But he has always kept a close eye on his former company, WWE, where his wife, Rhea Ripley has been one of the top female stars of the modern era.

Rhea Ripley, alongside her terror twin, Damian Priest, is currently embroiled in a feud with The new Judgment Day. Ripley is set to battle her arch-nemesis, Liv Morgan, for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WWE Bad Blood.

This comes after months of feuding and Liv Morgan snatching Rhea’s Latino Heat, Dominik Mysterio, who sided with her and betrayed his Mami at WWE SummerSlam and has been her foe ever since.

In a recent live session on Instagram, Buddy Matthews was asked by a fan joining his stream whether he would collide against Dominik Mysterio in a one-on-one match. Buddy claimed that it would be a one-sided match and Dominik could beat him only if he was a chicken tender and he was hungry.

“Dom and me would be one on half. Only way Dom would beat me is if I was a chicken tender and he was hungry.”

While they are currently a part of rival companies, a future storyline could be interesting to see Buddy Matthews join Rhea Ripley to go against Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. However, the idea remains far-fetched for now, as Buddy Matthews continues to be an integral part of AEW.
