It’s official—WWE has finally announced the highly anticipated return of Saturday Night’s Main Event! After years of teasing and speculation, the legendary show is making a comeback on December 14 at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY, airing live at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock.

Saturday Night’s Main Event, which originally replaced Saturday Night Live 29 times during its run, hasn’t been seen since its brief revivals in 2006 and 2008. But now, WWE has brought back the iconic show as part of its new agreement with NBC, which includes four prime-time specials per year. The return was hinted at for months, with fans eagerly awaiting confirmation—and today, WWE made it official.

The Nassau Coliseum, which hosted the very first Saturday Night’s Main Event, will once again be the venue for this special event. Tickets are already available, with a presale starting on Thursday, September 19. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took to Twitter to celebrate the news.

“SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT IS BACK! As reported by @Variety, the legendary WWE event returns on December 14 at @NassauColiseum in Long Island, NY.”
