The September 17 edition of WWE NXT was made memorable with the appearance of top stars like CM Punk and Indiana Pacers player Tyrese Haliburton, who played a crucial role in concluding this week’s show.
At the start of the show, the contract signing for the NXT title match on October 1 on the CW network between Ethan Page and Trick Williams was left unfinished after Page put Williams through a table.
Tyrese Haliburton then volunteered to get the contract signed by both competitors for NXT GM Ava and came out towards the end of the show. Keeping his word, Tyrese got Trick and Ethan to sign the contract and then introduced CM Punk to the ring, whose important announcement was interrupted by a tense confrontation between Roxanne Perez and Giulia earlier in the night.
The Best in the World took the stage with Tyrese Haliburton and announced that he would be the Special Guest Referee for the NXT title match, scheduled to take place on October 1 in Chicago, Illinois, as NXT moves to the CW network.
After the show ended, WWE NXT took to their X to drop a video where Tyrese Haliburton was seen sharing a brief moment with NXT SVP Shawn Michaels. HBK asked about his experience, to which he replied positively and thanked him for making it on tonight’s show.
“.@TyHaliburton22 got the @ShawnMichaels stamp of approval! 🙌#WWENXT.”
With Tyrese Haliburton making a significant presence on WWE NXT, it seems only a matter of time before the fans can see him back on the Black and Gold brand again.
