The news of Sheamus’ contract extension was shared by Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show, where McAfee expressed his excitement for what’s next. “Banger after banger after banger,” McAfee exclaimed, eager to see the Irish Superstar continue his streak of incredible matches. Sheamus, appearing on the show from Dublin, raised a pint and offered a heartfelt Sláinte to McAfee, joking that the next round of drinks was on him.

Sheamus’ WWE future had been uncertain following reports of a shoulder injury in September 2023, just as his contract was set to expire. However, sources confirmed that WWE extended his deal due to the injury, allowing the Celtic Warrior time to heal and return stronger. The Celtic Warrior’s return to the ring came on the April 15, 2024 WWE RAW. Days later, Sheamus was drafted to the RAW brand during Night 1 of the WWE Draft, marking a new chapter in his already impressive career.
