WWE’s Judgment Day stable has seen a lot of changes since Edge and Damian Priest first linked up at WrestleMania 38. At this point, there are no original members, and it was not a happy time for fans of the original lineup to see that faction break apart and re-form with a new lineup.

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were both ejected from the Judgment Day at SummerSlam 2024. The Terror Twins are now aligned and doing their own thing without a stable behind them once again. That move also kept the Judgment Day as a heel stable while Ripley and Priest were inching toward full-fledged babyface turns.

Rhea Ripley recently opened up about her emotions surrounding the breakup of the original Judgment Day faction and how she’s adjusted to her new role. During an appearance on The Wrestling Classic, Ripley shared her thoughts on both the sadness she felt when the group dissolved and the excitement of taking on the new version of Judgment Day.

“The Judgment Day was really family to me, like it really was,” Ripley said. “It has helped my career so much more than I can actually put into words cause I feel like that was when I started opening up and feeling comfortable going out there in front of the crowd because I had the boys that I could fall back on. So it was really emotional for me.”

It was reported that a member of Judgment Day was seen shedding tears backstage when the group broke up. Ripley confirmed it was her that was crying, because it was sad to see her stable go.

“I’m not ashamed of it, that was me, I was upset,” Ripley continued. “I was like, the last two and a half years of my life is going to be… like it’s changed now. I can’t go back to that. They were my boys, they were my family, and it was really sad but at the same time, when something so good comes to an end, the other side of it is that something amazing is about to start as well and I wasn’t really thinking about that because I was just so emotional. Yeah, that was the most fun that I’ve had in my career in a long time. I felt invincible. I felt like I could go out there and just be a cheeky little menace and get away with it, for real, and have fun with my friends.”

Since Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal at SummerSlam 2024, aligning with Liv Morgan, Ripley has only had one match. She and Damian Priest defeated Morgan and Mysterio at Bash in Berlin, and Ripley is set for a rematch against Morgan at Bad Blood on October 5 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

“I loved my time with the Judgment Day, but I feel like now I’m loving my time absolutely brutalizing the Judgment Day. They’re not the real Judgment Day, they’re street trash.”

It’s interesting that Ripley called her former stable Street Trash. That was supposed to be their changed name, but they didn’t go that way in an official capacity. They did, however, release a line of merchandise with that name.

Ripley’s transition from being a core member of Judgment Day to taking them down marks a new chapter in her career, one that she is clearly embracing with full force.
