Randy Orton Set to Wrestle in NXT on October 8 in Hometown St. Louis

WWE fans are in for a huge treat as Randy Orton is making his long-awaited return to an NXT ring!

On the September 17 episode of WWE NXT, General Manager Ava made the exciting announcement that Orton will compete on the October 8 episode of NXT, which will be broadcast live from St. Louis, Missouri—Orton’s hometown.

This special episode will mark the second NXT show to air on its new network, The CW, and has recently been relocated to The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, Missouri. While the identity of Orton’s opponent remains a mystery, fans can expect a big match as “The Viper” steps back into an NXT ring.

Shortly after the announcement, Randy Orton took to Twitter and announced that he would be facing NXT newcomer, Je’Von Evans. “Hey Je’Von – Want to know who your opponent is? See you in St. Louis on October 8th kid,” Orton tweeted.

Adding to the excitement, hip-hop sensation Sexyy Red will make her return to WWE NXT on the same night, and the NXT Tag Team Championships will be on the line. The current champions, Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom), will defend their titles against A-Town Down Under’s Grayson Waller & Austin Theory.
