WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues to be a strong performer for WWE, premiering on its new home, the USA network, last week despite the fact that September 13th episode saw a slight dip in viewership.

Regardless of the setback, it was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select on his X, that WWE management has been very happy internally with the numbers i.e ratings for SmackDown’s premiere episode on the USA Network.

“WWE internally is very happy about the Smackdown numbers from Friday.”

The SmackDown episode was packed with significant moments, including the return of Roman Reigns, who stepped in to assist Cody Rhodes against The Bloodline and will compete against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood.

Additionally, the show saw multiple legends make special appearances and key moments from the 25-year history of SmackDown played throughout the night, keeping fans engaged with its mix of action and nostalgia.

SmackDown remains a focal point of WWE’s programming, consistently delivering high-profile segments and storylines that generate buzz within the wrestling community. With WWE being happy with SmackDown’s new start, it will be interesting to see how it does on the USA network.
