The September 16 episode of WWE RAW took place at Portland, Oregon’s Moda Center, and with Bad Blood fast approaching on October 5 in Atlanta, the show featured a memorable segment with CM Punk.
At SummerSlam 2024, CM Punk lost to Drew McIntyre after unintentional interference from Seth Rollins. However, Punk gained revenge at Bash in Berlin on August 31 by defeating McIntyre in a brutal strap match. On the September 9 episode of RAW, after Punk suffered a vicious attack the previous week, it was announced that Punk and McIntyre would settle their rivalry at Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match.
Punk was scheduled to be absent for the September 9 episode of RAW, but this week’s show kicked off with the Second City Saint himself.
With a serious tone, Punk addressed the crowd, sharing that people often ask him how many matches he has left. He confidently stated that he has far more left than anyone thinks, a revelation that may please or upset some.
Punk emphasized that he didn’t return to WWE to create an enemy, but he ultimately made one. He declared that the only way to end his feud with Drew McIntyre is through a Hell in a Cell match. Admitting that he’s “too damn stubborn,” Punk explained that their rivalry didn’t end two weeks ago when he sent McIntyre to the hospital.
As for how many Hell in a Cell matches he has left in him, Punk claimed it’s “zero.” He revealed that both his little sister and wife pleaded with him not to take part in the match, but he’s doing it regardless. Punk went on to promise that he will make McIntyre bleed at Hell in a Cell, stating that McIntyre will have to kill him to win.
Punk delivered a heartfelt and stern promo, admitting he’s prepared for it to potentially be the end of CM Punk. As he concluded with “I’ll see you in Hell,” it was clear to the fans that Punk is ready for war.
