WWE has been dealing with several key superstars on the sidelines, and one absence that looms large is Charlotte Flair. At this point, they are still waiting on The Queen’s return to the ring.

Charlotte Flair has been out of action since December 2023, after suffering a significant injury during a singles match against Asuka from Damage CTRL. Flair tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, and has been diligently recovering ever since. WWE is eagerly awaiting her return, and according to recent reports, there is already a plan in place for her comeback.

Flair’s recovery has kept her out for the entirety of 2024, and it seems her return to the ring is still a ways off. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Charlotte is yet to be cleared for action, despite ongoing backstage discussions about her eventual return. While there are exciting plans involving Flair’s return to WWE programming, her clearance from injury remains the primary hurdle. No creative has been put in place until her clearance for her return.

It was recently reported that WWE is considering integrating Flair into the ongoing storyline featuring Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton. Nia Jax, who currently holds the WWE Women’s Championship and has adopted the “Queen” moniker, would be a natural rival for Charlotte. Flair’s long-standing persona as “The Queen” makes this potential feud a perfect fit for her return. However, until Flair is officially cleared to compete, WWE is hesitant to lock in any creative plans for her comeback.

Looking further ahead, WWE reportedly has even bigger plans for Flair. There are rumblings that the company is already penciling in a match for WrestleMania 41 between Flair and Miss Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton. Given Stratton’s admiration for Flair and her rapid rise in WWE, a showdown between the two would be a dream match for fans.

If all goes according to plan, Flair’s eventual return could deliver some high-stakes rivalries and marquee matchups, marking a thrilling new chapter in her storied career. We will have to see how much longer we have to wait, but there has been no sign of Charlotte Flair for a while at this point.
