AJ Styles’ WWE Status Revealed as Hiatus Continues

AJ Styles is renowned for being one of the top professional wrestlers globally and has continued to amaze fans with his performances despite his advancing age. However, his absence from WWE television has left many wondering when he will return.

Styles’ last televised appearance was at WWE Clash at the Castle, where he faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title in an I Quit Match. Following that, he took part in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination 2024 event on July 13, where he squared off against Naomichi Marufuji at Budokan Hall.

The Phenomenal One also participated in WWE’s live events during their Japan tour, engaging in world title matches against Cody Rhodes across five consecutive nights, delivering stellar showdowns.

Moreover, Styles was expected to return to WWE television on the August 9th edition of SmackDown, but it did not happen. According to a recent report by Fightful Select, AJ Styles is healthy but hasn’t been utilized in any recent WWE storylines. While he worked WWE’s overseas tour, his absence on television has left fans disappointed.

“AJ Styles is healthy and just isn’t being used on WWE TV. He was on the WWE overseas tour, but wasn’t featured on television. He worked five straight nights in world title matches against Cody Rhodes. He also worked last month’s Japan tour in world title matches.”

With SmackDown moving to the USA network, AJ Styles could finally make a significant return to WWE programming with a storyline befitting his status. Fans remain eager to see how WWE will reintegrate Styles into their narrative moving forward.
