Swerve Strickland has been on top of the world in AEW over the past year, which began with his match against Adam Page at Full Gear 2023. Strickland’s matches have a unique structure to them and it appears this is due to the fact that an AEW veteran is working extensively with him.

Swerve Strickland was last seen during the All Out pay-per-view, where he faced off against Adam Page in a brutal Lights Out Steel Cage match. Strickland would lose the bout and it is expected he would be taking time off AEW television following All Out.

Ringside News has heard from within AEW that Dustin Rhodes has been helping Swerve Strickland with his matches, and the improvement has been noticeable. It was mentioned that there’s a clear difference in the quality of Swerve’s matches when Dustin is involved in his preparation versus when he is not.

Dustin Rhodes has been part of the AEW family since the very beginning and he is always ready to help out any professional wrestler who is willing to listen to him. After all, someone like Rhodes is truly a benefit to the company.

We have also reported Swerve Strickland’s status for AEW WrestleDream, as it is unlikely he will appear for the event next month. Nonetheless, Dustin Rhodes’ extensive knowledge in the world of professional wrestling is truly a blessing for anyone who works with him and Swerve Strickland knows that all too well now.
