AEW has a lot of plans for the future, and they already announced that Forbidden Door 2025 will be coming to London. They did not announce the venue, but now we know where they are going based on things we were told.

Ringside News has learned talk backstage in the company says that Forbidden Door 2025 will be at the O2 Arena. This should clear up a lot of speculation about what venue is getting the event this year.

AEW’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view has quickly become a yearly tradition, showcasing high-profile cross-promotional matches between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling. The first event took place on June 26, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois, at the United Center. It attracted an impressive attendance of 16,529 fans and achieved a buy rate of 125,000–127,000, marking a strong debut for the collaboration between the two promotions.

In 2023, Forbidden Door moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, taking place on June 25 at the Scotiabank Arena. The event drew a crowd of 14,826 and saw an increase in buy rates, reaching 140,000, further solidifying its popularity and appeal among wrestling fans.

2024’s event was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on June 30. This edition saw an attendance of 11,000 and a buy rate ranging from 110,000 to 116,000, reflecting a slightly lower turnout but still maintaining a strong presence in the pay-per-view market. Over the years, Forbidden Door has established itself as a unique and highly anticipated annual event for fans of both AEW and NJPW.

We will keep our eye on this story for more updates. AEW has already announced that London is getting Forbidden Door, but a venue wasn’t announced. It appears that the O2 Arena will get that pay-per-view, if the backstage chatter is any indication of things. It is rather interesting that they didn’t announce the venue along with the city location.
