On Saturday, September 14, TNA Wrestling hosted its TV tapings in San Antonio, Texas from the Boeing Center in Port Tech, with episodes scheduled to air in the coming weeks on AXS TV.
The latest taping featured a mix of matches and dramatic moments, including Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian battling for a title shot, Matt Cardona’s clash with Rhino, and a tense backstage encounter between Josh Alexander and Eric Young.
The taping started with Alisha Edwards talking about losing the titles and calling out Masha Slamovich.
In the first match, the Hardys and Masha Slamovich took on Tasha Steelz, Eddie Edwards, and Myers, with Alisha Edwards at ringside. Next, Hammerstone defeated Deaner while Jake Something provided commentary.
Joe Hendry claimed he deserved a TNA World Title shot after his win over Josh Alexander at Victory Road. Frankie Kazarian interrupted, saying he deserved it too. Nic Nemeth suggested they both fight for the title, and Santino Marella made the match official.
Spitfire won against NXT stars Carlee Bright and Kendal Grey. Matt Cardona’s match against Rhino ended in a disqualification when Cardona hit Rhino with a chair. PCO then came out and chokeslammed Cardona.
FIR$T CLA$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) defeated Sinner & Saint, and Jonathan Gresham won against Laredo Kid. The match between Wendy Choo and Rosemary versus Jordynne Grace and Sol Ruca ended in a no contest because Tasha Steelz and Masha Slamovich interfered.
Backstage, Josh Alexander and Eric Young argued. Josh called out Eric in the ring, pretended to be friendly, then attacked him. Maclin made the save, and Sinner & Saint helped Josh.
Heather Reckless defeated Xia Brookside, and Wentz/ABC won against Leon Slater, Kushida, and Mike Bailey. Mei Ying Lee then defeated Hyan.
In the main event, Frankie Kazarian won against Joe Hendry using brass knuckles, but Santino Marella restarted the match, and Joe Hendry won after the restart.
The taping ended with a Texas Deathmatch where Santana defeated JDC.
These matches set the stage for exciting storylines and intense rivalries, boosting anticipation for TNA Wrestling’s upcoming shows.
