Since reconnecting with its roots through the Hard to Kill pay-per-view in January, TNA has undergone significant changes as it seeks to expand. TNA’s next big event is Bound for Glory and now we have a spoiler on the main event for the pay-per-view.
The TNA Victory Road 2024 pay-per-view took place in San Antonio, Texas and there was obviously a lot of excitement throughout the night. That’s now in the rearview mirror as TNA is currently focusing on their build for Bound for Glory.
According to PWInsider, during the September 14th TNA television tapings, Joe Hendry, who won against Josh Alexander at Victory Road, said he should get a shot at the TNA World Title. Frankie Kazarian interrupted him, saying he deserved a shot too. Nic Nemeth suggested that they both fight for the title, and Santino Marella made it official.
The match was set as Frankie Kazarian vs. Joe Hendry, with Nic Nemeth commenting on the match. Frankie Kazarian initially won using brass knuckles, but Santino Marella came out and restarted the match. Joe Hendry then won after the restart and thus, Hendry will be challenging Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship in the main event of Bound for Glory on October 26th.
Joe Hendry was cheated out of becoming the TNA World Champion at TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view but he now has an opportunity to finally redeem himself. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether Hendry will end up defeating Nic Nemeth to become the TNA World Champion next month.
