Former WWE Star Debuts Under New Name During TNA Television Taping

Xia Li made headlines as the first Chinese talent to join WWE a few years ago. After developing her skills in NXT, she debuted on Friday Night SmackDown in 2021, but was ultimately released by WWE this year. Unsurprisingly, she made her TNA debut under a new name during the latest television tapings.

Earlier this year, Xia Li announced her departure from WWE, surprising many fans who were eager to see what she could achieve as a Superstar, but many felt she simply could not reach her true potential there.

During the post-TNA Emergence 2024 episode of TNA iMPACT on September 5, 2024, the company teased Xia Lia’s appearance in the company and fans were very excited.

During the TNA television tapings on September 14 in San Antonio, Texas from the Boeing Center in Port Tech, Xia Li made her debut in the company. She is now known as Léi Ying Lee and squared off against Hyan in singles competition. Lee would be successful in her TNA debut.

We will have to wait and see how Léi Ying Lee will be booked in TNA Wrestling in the coming weeks, as fans are certainly excited about her potential in the company, as she has proven to be a solid in-ring performer.
