AEW’s locker room has been in the spotlight this month due to a heated confrontation between Britt Baker and MJF. This incident has sparked a lot of talk among wrestling fans and industry insiders and now Baker has been called out for having a massive ego for her involvement in AEW’s drama.

The conflict began when Britt Baker made remarks about MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, during the July 17th episode of Dynamite. Atout passed these comments on to MJF, which sparked a heated argument. The tension grew so intense that even Will Ospreay stepped in, attempting to mediate the situation by speaking with Baker.

Things escalated when MJF, visibly upset, punched a wall backstage, highlighting the severity of the dispute. Despite the backstage drama, Baker continued her appearances on TV.

Following the incident, an HR investigation took place, leading to a brief suspension for Baker. The investigation also explored claims of a verbal altercation between Baker and Atout, where Baker allegedly requested Atout’s removal from the women’s locker room. Baker’s suspension ended when she reappeared via video on the August 7th episode of AEW programming.

During an appearance on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan explained that Britt Baker has a history of causing backstage issues, mentioning that she got suspended due to ongoing heat with others in AEW. According to a source, Britt publicly insulted Alicia Atout in front of a large group, with Alicia present to hear the remarks. This led to a confrontation where Britt shouted at MJF and his girlfriend.

“Of course she has heat, we’ve heard a million stories about her. You know she got suspended—she wouldn’t get suspended if she didn’t have heat. So this person who was there, okay, said that, what’s this girl’s name, Brit, was calling—you remember Alicia Atout? In front of, and not in private, like in front of a whole bunch of people, right? And Alicia was there, so she could hear it. I mean, give me a break, how stupid can you be? Obviously, she went and told her man, and he got mad. Okay, but this Brit kept screaming at them.”

Konnan was then asked if Britt Baker has heat with Mercedes Mone after their AEW All In match. Konnan pointed out that Britt Baker’s ego has been a recurring issue and called her out for the same. He referenced how she went off on MJF, even though he tried to downplay the situation, and how her actions resulted in further tension, adding to her reputation for being difficult backstage.

“What I have heard is, yeah, we all know about Brit Baker—she has a big ego. She ended up getting suspended, like she went off on M, even though MJF tried to come out and tried to, like, you know, go, ‘Do you think that I would really scream at her? Do you think I would do this? Do you think I would do that?’ All that happened. You know, she went in there, she screamed at him, she screamed at his girlfriend. He talked about the girlfriend in public, she found out, he found out—she’s got a massive ego.”

Britt Baker and Adam Cole have also allegedly ended their relationship. Regardless, Baker certainly has developed a reputation that many people wouldn’t want, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
