Thunder Rosa has been a dedicated member of the AEW roster for several years, demonstrating her deep passion for professional wrestling. After her return to AEW, she has now confirmed that she is dealing with a new injury and will be out of action for a short period of time.
After a 16-month hiatus due to a back injury, Thunder Rosa made her return to in-ring action in December 2023. Unfortunately, she has recently revealed a new setback: a concussion. Rosa revealed on Busted Open Radio that she will be sidelined for ”a couple of weeks” as she recovers from this latest injury. The details of how or when she sustained the concussion have not been disclosed.
With Concussion Awareness Day approaching, Rosa has recommended following Chris Nowinski, the founder of the Concussion Legacy Foundation and a former WWE star, for valuable information and research on concussions.
Rosa’s most recent match took place on the August 31 episode of AEW Collision, where she competed in a four-way match with Hikaru Shida, Serena Deeb, and Queen Aminata. Regardless, we hope Rosa does return in a couple of weeks and goes back to doing what she loves the most.
