Steph De Lander, who earned significant recognition in the indie wrestling scene for her talent and dedication, was released by WWE in 2022. She became a mainstay on TNA Wrestling afterwards but she announced she needed neck surgery during Victory Road and now the legitimacy of that has been revealed.

During TNA Victory Road 2024 in San Antonio, Texas, the scheduled tag team match between Rhino & PCO and Matt Cardona & Steph De Lander took an emotional turn before it could begin. Steph De Lander grabbed the microphone and delivered a heartfelt speech to the sold-out crowd, announcing that she would need neck surgery due to persistent pain.

Despite interruptions from the audience, De Lander continued, ending her speech with the emotional line, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later,” a touching reference to WCW Icon Sting’s memorable WWE Hall of Fame speech in 2016.

According to PWInsider, Steph De Lander’s announcement at TNA Victory Road about needing neck surgery was legitimate. As of now, there is no information on how long she will be out of action.
