Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has been associated with AEW since 2020 and many felt he was an integral part of AEW programming during his early run in the company. With that said, he wasn’t supposed to remain with the company for such a long time.

Roberts made a stunning debut into AEW when he confronted Cody Rhodes on the March 4, 2020, episode of AEW Dynamite. He was then paired with Lance Archer, and he continues to make appearances alongside the “Murderhawk Monster” whenever his health allows.

While speaking during a recent appearance on Rewind Recap Relive, Jake Roberts shared that his initial stint with AEW was meant to last only six weeks. However, after just four weeks, he was offered a year-long contract. Once that contract ended, AEW extended his deal for another two years.

”We made a deal for me to be there for six weeks, and at the end of four weeks, they gave me some papers saying I was going to be there for a year. Then, when the year contract was up, they gave me another contract for two years, and I just got another contract for a year. So, yeah, I’m still there.”

Jack Roberts also confirmed that he signed another one-year deal with AEW earlier this year, so he will be sticking with the company for a while longer. Regardless, fans are always happy to see the legend on television and that’s all that matters.
