Goldberg’s impact on the pro wrestling world is well-known due to his significant success in the industry, despite not appreciating pro wrestling in the past. However, he has recently faced criticism for not working a full-time schedule during his initial run with WWE.

In 2003, Bill Goldberg made a surprising debut in Vince McMahon’s WWE, staying with Monday Night RAW for a year. Despite his high-profile arrival, Goldberg wasn’t present frequently and worked a part-time schedule.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, former WWE Superstar Maven addressed some backstage rumors and shared his views on Goldberg. Maven mentioned that Goldberg was perceived as difficult by some mainly due to his limited appearances and part-time status.

Although Maven has no personal grudges, he expressed disappointment that Goldberg wasn’t more consistently involved with the roster and on the road. Many wrestlers were frustrated by Goldberg’s high pay for a relatively light schedule, which contributed to the negative perception of him among some of the locker room.

“Goldberg came into the company in 2003 and I don’t remember many who were excited about his arrival. I don’t remember many who thought he was going to actually add much of anything to the show. If I consider Bill [Goldberg] a jerk in any way, it’s just the simple fact that he didn’t work a full schedule. I wanted to see more of him. I wanted him on the road with us more. But a lot of guys got mad because he strolled in making a few million dollars a year to do limited shows.”

Goldberg was also accused of intentionally hurting a former WWE writer. Bret Hart already has deep-rooted hatred for Goldberg for ending his career with a concussion. Regardless, Goldberg will always remain a controversial figure for one reason or the other and that’s never changing.
