WWE SmackDown is set for a significant shake-up as the show moves to the USA Network on September 13, 2024. One of the most talked-about changes is the highly anticipated debut of a new theme song.

For the last three years, SmackDown has been introduced by “Nobody Better Than Me,” a song by def rebel featuring Supreme Madness, but fans can expect a fresh sound starting tonight.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that WWE has opted to move away from using in-house music production teams like def rebel or CFO$, who have provided themes for the company in recent years. Instead, the new theme song will come from a “legit artist,” though no specific details or names have been revealed yet. WWE has worked with a ton of artists in recent memory, including Electric Callboy and BabyMetal, who provided Ratatata as the theme song for Bash in Berlin.

This shift marks a significant change in the brand’s musical identity, as WWE looks to refresh SmackDown’s image on its new network. This change could be a welcomed one, and we will keep an eye out for the response.

Historically, SmackDown has had a rich legacy of theme songs. From Jim Johnston’s “Everybody On The Ground” in 1999 to AC/DC’s “Are You Ready” from 2019 to 2022, the show has featured iconic tracks that have helped set the tone for the blue brand. Memorable songs like Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” and Green Day’s “Know Your Enemy” have added to the show’s legacy. Now, with WWE poised to introduce a new anthem, fans are eagerly awaiting what’s next.

As SmackDown continues to evolve on its new platform, this change in theme song marks another chapter in the show’s storied history. Whether it becomes as iconic as previous themes remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—the new music will help set the stage for the next era of WWE’s blue brand.

Stay tuned to see which artist will provide the soundtrack to this exciting new chapter of WWE SmackDown. We will have full coverage of whatever happens tonight here at Ringside News.
